Cumulative 2015 Draft Rankings (March)

 Hello fellow draftketeers.

 First of all, this is an incredibly deep draft. The talent breeds much further down the list than the top two names everyone has been (rightfully) talking about. That is why I am so sorry that it has taken until March to post the first edition of these cumulative draft rankings. We were unable to watch these rankings change and evolve over a few months time, and that stinks. However, I'm happy to bring this Hart of Hockey tradition back.

 To reiterate the rules, the cumulative rankings system takes an individual player's rankings in various pundits'/scouting services' publications and then finds the average score from combining all the rankings. In this addition, the lists used were TSN's Bob McKenzie and Craig Button, NHL Central Scouting (CS,) International Scouting Services (ISS,) McKeen's Hockey, and HockeyProspect.com (HP). Since Central Scouting separates its rankings by European/North American and Skaters/Goalies, its numbers are only used as a tiebreaker if the values of two players' or more average score is the same.
 Lastly, this is the time where I remind you that these rankings are not to be interpreted as a mock draft, but rather a different way to value the prospects heading into the draft and potentially project when their names will be called on draft day.
 The first name on this edition of the 2015 draft cumulative rankings comes as no surprise.

Cumulative 2014 Draft Rankings (January)

 This is the latest I've ever put out a year's first cumulative draft rankings since The Hart of Hockey started its signature draft coverage. That might have actually been for the best actually, since the longer this season has gone on, it looks like the 2014 NHL Entry Draft in Philadelphia, Pa. will be one of the most volatile drafts in a long while, and the various rankings collected here reflect that.
 The table below shows the most recent prospect rankings of five different scouts/publications, The Hockey News (THN,) International Scouting Services (ISS,) NHL Central Scouting (CS,) and TSN analysts Craig Button and Bob McKenzie. An individual player's rankings from THN, ISS, Button, and McKenzie's lists is averaged into a cumulative score, and then the top scores are ranked and become The Hart of Hockey's prospect rankings. Since CS separates players by North American and European, as well as dividing skaters and goalies, its rankings are used as a tiebreaker in the event of two or more players tying their average score.

Final 2013 Cumulative Draft Rankings

 With the 2013 NHL Entry Draft four days away, The Hart of Hockey is happy to release its final cumulative rankings for the season.

 As usual, TSN analysts Bob McKenzie and Craig Button's rankings are represented, as well as the International Scouting Services' (ISS). Just like last year, The Hockey News (THN) has joined the fold for the final rankings, too. For the first time, however, independent scouting publications Red Line Report (RLR) and McKeen's Hockey will be thrown in, as well. Those six entities will have their final rankings averaged for every player to get The Hart of Hockey's cumulative rank. In the event of a tie score, NHL Central Scouting (CS) will be used as the tiebreaker.

 Also, our rankings list 65 prospects for the first time.

 It's worth noting that this is not a mock draft, but more-or-less an indicator of who "the next best prospect" is according to several different scouting services. Since just about all NHL general managers draft under a "next best prospect available" policy, this list becomes an effective indicator of where a player will go on Sunday in Newark.
